Tips for Bluesfest from our Byron store

Got the travel bug this Easter break? Why not pop into Byron Bay for some sunshine, waves, good times and good tunes.

Bluesfest is an annual Australian music festival held in Byron Bay, which runs this year from the 6-10th of Apirl. We got chatting with Catherine (a team member from our Byron Bay store!) who'll be attending this weekend, as she gives us some insights into what's expected:

1. What artist are you most excited to see?

I am so excited to see Michael Franti again. It has been way too long since he visited Australia. I am also lucky to be doing a Yoga session with him here in Byron before he plays!

2. Have you attended in the past? What was this like?

We always attend Bluesfest! Last year was a really big celebration as we got live music and festivals back for the first time in a long while, which was so great to see the whole community coming together again. 



3. What's your go-to Okanui piece you'll be taking?

Hopefully we will NOT be wearing gumboots this year! I plan on wearing my new Charcoal Daydream T-Shirt with a long, patterned skirt and ankle boots!

4. If you could give some advice for people that haven't attended before, what would it be?

A top festival tip is to try everything! The music is amazing, listen to something new. The food is awesome, try it all. And the bars have come a long way! Last year we unexpectedly tried every different wine on the menu. And lastly, try talking to someone new! The people who attend Blues are very chilled and an interesting bunch.
