WRAP UP: The Okanui Manly WSL Longboard Classic QS

Okanui Manly WSL Longboard Classic QS 1,000

Super stoked of the events and turnout from the Okanui Manly WSL Longboard Classic QS 1,000 that took place Friday the 5th of May, on our front porch of Manly Beach.

As an Australian and family-owned brand that began along the Northern Beaches, we couldn't be more grateful to support and present this epic event for 2023.

This is the second stop in Australia for the 2023 Longboard Qualifying Series (LQS) on the World Surf League.  The LQS offers more opportunity and competition pathways for longboarding legends that live and breathe the legacy that is ingrained in Australia's surfing culture. The LQS hosts young, up and coming riders as well as those that have been in the game for years.

The waves and weather truly provided as the sun shone down all day on the Northern Beaches. Manly lit up, as our own ambassador Declan Wyton made a great run at his local this year coming just shy of the win, finishing in a very respectable 2nd to Men's winner, Kai Ellice-Flint of Byron Bay taking it home.

For the women, it was Manly's own Tully White walking away with the crown. No surprise as her local knowledge was on display all day.

Head over here for full results from the day and see which two competitors will be heading over to Bells Beach in August as the first World Tour Longboard event of the season kicks off.

Cheers to the WSL and Surfing NSW for a great event, and for welcoming Okanui with open arms as the presenting sponsor. Looking forward to years of continued support hand in hand with the World Surf League, especially in our front yard of Manly and the Northern Beaches.
