Postcards from Byron Bay

You haven’t seen the beauty of Australia’s east coast until you have checked out Byron Bay! Whether you laze the beach or are up for an adventure, Byron is stacked with things to do and see for any traveller.

Start your trip off right with a stroll at Cape Byron Lighthouse, the most iconic of the Byron Bay bucket list, with breath-taking views of the beach and chances to spot dolphins and whales. The lighthouse view is the most easterly point on the Australian mainland, so it makes for a great spot for the sunrise. Hike on up to see one of the finest (and definitely the first) Australian sunrise of the day.

Less than half an hour down the road is Killen Waterfalls. A short 1km walk through the ancient rainforest of Tintenbar and you will reach a breathtaking waterfall at the end of a pristine natural waterfall. This spot is perfect for a picnic in the sun after a chilly dip in the freshwater falls, and keep an eye out for in the awesome natural watering hole. A perfect arvo activity for you and your crew!

For the foodie and nightlife lovers, a night on the town at Miss Margarita Mexicana Cantina is a must do. Miss Margs is walk in only, making it the perfect spontaneous night out location with happy hour from 5pm-6pm daily. With pumping music, gram-worthy margaritas and mouth watering Mexican cuisine, you are certainly in for a great night from one of Byron’s best!
